Description

Pair of fold-over scorecards issued for contests between the Boston Beaneaters of the National League and the Pittsburgh Alleghanys. Each of these examples has been trimmed along the edges, leaving only remnants of the additional text visible. The preprinted lineups include Clarkson, Kelly, Nash, and Tucker for Boston; and Beckley, Galvin, Hanlon, and Sunday for Pittsburgh. Each is neatly scored in pencil on the scoring pages. Research indicates the one game took place on May 31, 1890, while the other game took place on September 17, 1891. Without respect to the previously mentioned trimming, the scorecards remain in Good condition overall, with bold printing. Total: 2 scorecards.
