Description

Original news photo of Chief Bender as a member of the Philadelphia Athletics, circa 1910s. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Bender is captured in a windup pose during spring training. Three "Brown Bros." credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a strip of added paper and editorial notations. The name "Bender" was etched into the original negative and appears on the photo in white lettering along the bottom edge. The photo (3-1/8 x 5-3/8 inches) is in Excellent condition overall.
