This spectacular and large display, produced to commemorate the 1912 World Champion Boston Red Sox, features a large team photo in the lower right. All the players are identified in print along the left side, including Tris Speaker, Harry Hooper, Joe Wood, Jake Stahl, and Heinie Wagner. The lettering along the top reads "Red Sox/ Champions 1912." The printing on the bottom border reads "Published by Tichnor Brothers." This is the first example of this display we have ever offered. Its fragile nature and the fact that it was produced for a one-time event (the 1912 World Series) is almost certainly the reason for its rarity today. The piece (22 x 14 inches), which is printed on thin cardboard stock, has a small chip on the top edge, a small edge tear, tack holes in each corner, and moderate to heavy creasing. Several pieces of tape are visible on the reverse. In Fair condition overall. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
