Dave Winfield H&B signature-model ("W273") bat dating from the 1980 season. Graded GU 9 by PSA/DNA. The bat, which displays a handle crack, exhibits evidence of outstanding use along its entire length. There are numerous ball marks, ball-stitch impressions (with white leather scuffs), cleat marks, and a heavy coat of pine tar on the handle. Additionally, a white ring has been painted on the handle. Winfield batted .276 with 20 home runs and 87 RBI in 1980 with the Padres. A 12-time All-Star, Winfield finished his career with 3,110 hits (23rd on the all-time list), 465 home runs, and 1,833 RBI. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2001. Length: 36 inches. Weight: 33.6 ounces. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (bat only, corresponding sticker affixed to the knob end). The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
