Presented is a 21-page typewritten script, dated May 31, 1938, from NBC's "Ripley's Believe It or Not!" radio program, signed on the "Final Revision" page by New York Yankees Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig, the host Robert Ripley, actor Milo Boulton, and minor league ballplayer R.J. Locke. Gehrig's signature, scripted in pencil, includes the salutation, "To Kay/With Kindest/Regards." Two other signees (Boulton and Locke) included a salutation as well. PSA/DNA has encapsulated the page and graded the signatures NM 7. On May 31, 1938, Gehrig played in his 2,000th consecutive game. This feat was considered a "Believe It or Not" event, and Gehrig was featured on the nationwide radio program that evening. During this era, Gehrig was a spokesman for both Huskies Cereal, the sponsor of the radio program, and Wheaties Cereal. It is interesting to note that during the live radio show, Gehrig mistakenly gave an endorsement for Wheaties Cereal and was quickly corrected by the announcer to properly give credit to Huskies Cereal. The pages numbered 11 through 14 of the script, which makes note of his 2,000th consecutive game multiple times, features the dialogue for the Gehrig segment of the radio program. The signature page has several staple holes and a small piece missing on the right edge, Fair condition. The remaining pages of the script feature a staple hole in the upper-left corner of each page, as well as a vertical fold and light creasing. Good condition overall.
