Complete set of twenty-five 1888 N124 Duke "Presidential Possibilities." This is a very attractive set of these extremely striking nineteenth-century tobacco cards. The N124 set is one of the most popular and desirable of all nineteenth-century nonsport tobacco-card sets. Issued with Duke's Cigarettes, each card measures 2-9/16 x 4-1/8 inches and features color portraits of the various statesmen considered to be potential candidates for the presidency in 1888 on the front with a checklist presented on the reverse. Condition is 36% Vg-Ex to Ex, 32% Gd to Vg, and 32% Pr to Fr. Duke's "Presidential Possibilities" are rarely offered as a complete set, and are highly prized by both historical collectors and nineteenth-century nonsport tobacco-card collectors. Total: 25 cards.
