Modestly graded example of #5 Babe Ruth from the W519-1 strip-card series. This classic 1920-era issue consists of 20 cards, and Ruth is unquestionably the key card. Originally issued in strips, these cards (and almost all strip cards) are often found with irregularly cut borders as they were cut by hand from the strips, as intended. Only ideally cut examples (which are few and far between) are awarded numerical grades by PSA (and SGC). Encapsulated as "Authentic" by PSA, the offered card has an uneven cut on all sides and has heavy creasing. The blank reverse shows scattered markings. This is a presentable example of Ruth, which would make an outstanding addition to a Babe Ruth, prewar, or strip-card collection.
