Official American League baseball (Harridge) signed in black and blue ink by 29 members of the 1944/1945 New York Yankees, including Hall of Famer Paul Waner, Lindell (sweet spot), Schulte (coach, sweet spot), Stirnweiss, Crosetti, Zuber, Fletcher (coach), Etten, Dubiel, B. Collins, Martin, Bonham, Turner, Savage, Bevens, Derry, Schreiber, Milosevich, Queen, Borowy, Roser, and Metheny. Waner only appeared in nine games with the "Bronx Bombers" in 1944, batting a meager .143, with one hit in seven at bats. The following season, on May 3, after playing in just one game, the Yankees released Waner, thus ending one of the greatest careers in baseball history. The ball is moderately toned and displays scattered surface abrasions. In Good to Very Good condition overall. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
