One of the most popular and colorful trading-card sets of the post-WWII era, Bowman Gum's "Red Menace" set was produced during the heart of the Cold War and captures the political spirit of the times. This set consists of white-back variations except for one gray back (#34). Condition is 14% Ex, 71% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 15% lesser. Keys: #1 "Reds Invade South Korea" (Fr), 19 "Atomic Doom" (Vg-Ex), 23 "Ghost City" (Ex), and 47 "War-Maker" (Vg). Very attractive and mostly mid-grade complete set of this classic, and historically significant, 1950s nonsport issue. Total: 48 cards.
