Description

Brooklyn Dodgers press pin issued for the 1920 World Series against the Cleveland Indians. This is an attractive example of this early press pin rarity. The bright red enamel border reads "World Series" and "1920" in gold lettering. The center has a convex baseball design in gold that reads "Brooklyn." The red enamel border is clean, with no wear or scratching as is usually found with this pin. The convex design of the center of this pin usually makes the gold center section susceptible to much wear and scratching. On this example, the wear is light, far less than is commonly seen with this pin. The reverse has only minor wear and the post is slightly bent. This is a particularly outstanding example of this rare press pin and one that would be a worthy inclusion or upgrade in just about any advanced press-pin collection. In Excellent condition. Manufactured by Dieges & Clust; threaded-post back; oval with scalloped border. Diameter: 0.75 inches.
