Description

Original news photo of the Brazilian national soccer team lined up on the pitch before the 1970 World Cup final at Estadio Azteca stadium in Mexico City. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Led by Pelé (third from right), Brazil drubbed Italy 4-1, giving the country its third World Cup title. Brazil's 1970 World Cup team is considered by most soccer historians to be the greatest soccer team of all time. The original "United Press International" paper news caption dated "June 24th, 1970" appears on the reverse, along with a pair of stampings and editorial crop marks. The photo (10 x 6.5 inches), which has been trimmed to its current dimensions, displays scattered creasing and is in Very Good condition overall.
