Original photo of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt with their Chiefs of Staff at the Casablanca Conference in January 1943. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. The Casablanca Conference was a meeting between Allied leaders to coordinate strategy for the next phase of World War II. The meeting is best remembered for the Allies' declaration that they would accept nothing less than "unconditional surrender" from the Axis powers, which is noted on the original paper caption. Along with the caption, the reverse features a pair of "May 3, 1943" date stamps. The photo (6 x 8 inches) is in Very Good to Excellent condition overall.
