Description

Original photo of Jackie Robinson as a member of the Brooklyn Dodgers, circa 1950s. This photo originates directly from Bert Sugar (1936-2012), famed boxing writer and sports historian. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. It is interesting to note that this particular image was used in the production of Robinson's M114 Baseball Magazine poster. Photos used in the production of trading card issues, especially those featuring prominent Hall of Famers such as Robinson, have become increasingly popular and desirable in recent years. The reverse bears a Brooklyn National Baseball Club usage-restriction stamp and a Bert R. Sugar collector's stamp. The photo (7-1/2 x 9-5/9 inches) displays several pinholes (none of which affect the central image) and minor creasing. Very Good condition overall.
