Anaheim Angels road jersey worn by Mo Vaughn during the 1999 season. The gray pinstripe knit jersey is lettered "Angels" and features the number "42" on the front. "VAUGHN" is lettered on the reverse above the number. The front letters are appliquéd in multicolor tackle twill (red/white/navy/periwinkle) while the front numbers are appliquéd in navy on periwinkle tackle twill. The reverse letters are appliquéd in navy on white tackle twill, while the reverse numbers are appliquéd in tricolor tackle twill (red/white/navy). The official team patch appears on the left sleeve, and a Gene Audry memoriam patch adorns the right sleeve. Located on the left front tail are a "Russell Athletic" label and a pair of adjacent flag tails for the set, year, and size ("Set 1 1999" and "54"). Vaughn has signed the jersey in black marker on the reverse numeral "4." The jersey, which appears to be original and unaltered, displays moderate use. The hulking first baseman had another strong season in 1999, finishing with a .281 batting average, 33 home runs, and 108 RBI. Auction LOA from James Spence/JSA.
