Description

Striking Babe Ruth "Club" pin issued in the late 1920s. This celluloid pin, which features a portrait of Ruth in the center, conferred membership in the "Babe Ruth Club." The pin (7/8-inch diameter) displays light scratches and is complete with its original "Green Duck Co." paper backing. In 1999 this pin appeared as Lot 2469 in the historic sale of Barry Halper's collection; the original Sotheby's auction tag accompanies the pin.
