Vintage photo capturing 16 members of the 1887 World Champion Detroit Wolverines. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type IV photograph by PSA/DNA. As noted by PSA/DNA, this photo is a "later-issued 1940's example that was made off a duplicate negative featuring an image originally taken by Frank N. Tomlinson in 1887." This is a famous image of the World Champion Wolverines and one that was also used for the club's 1887 N693 Kalamazoo Bats team card. The formal studio photo pictures Watkins (mgr.), Brouthers, Hanlon, Thompson, White, Baldwin, Bennett, Briody, Dunlap, Ganzel, Getzien, Richardson, Rowe, Shindle, Twitchell, and Wiedman. The reverse displays multiple editorial notations. The photo, which has been trimmed to its current dimensions of 7 x 9.75 inches, is in Fair condition overall.
