Description

Original news photo of Jimmie Foxx as a member of the Philadelphia Athletics, circa 1930s. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. The close-up shot captures Foxx smiling for the camera. Several editorial notations, a Photographer/Kuenzel/Reporter" credit stamp (referring to acclaimed photographer William Kuenzel of the "Detroit News"), and a "May 28, 1934" date stamp appear on the reverse. The photo (8 x 10 inches) displays a small tear along the top edge (repaired by clear tape on the reverse) and scattered creasing. Good to Very Good condition overall.
