Description

Ticket stub issued for Game 4 of the 1928 World Series between the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals, held at Sportsman’s Park in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 9. Game 4 of the 1928 World Series is best remembered for Babe Ruth’s record-tying three home runs, all of which were solo shots. (Ruth set the record of three home runs in one World Series game in 1926. It has since been matched by three other players.) Those blasts helped lead the Yankees to a 7-3 win and a dominating sweep of the Series, giving the club its second consecutive World Championship. Graded POOR 1 by PSA, the ticket stub (2 x 4.25 inches) is downgraded due to scattered creasing and adhesive residue on the reverse.
