First edition of The National Game by Alfred Spink (National Publishing Co., St. Louis, 1910). The 410-page book provides a history of the game, beginning with the 1833 Olympic Club of Philadelphia, through 1910. This is THE baseball book of the 1910 era, presenting a complete history of the game, with literally hundreds of photographs. This book is also considered by many to be the finest and most substantial of all early historical baseball books. The book (6.5 x 9.25 inches) displays moderate handling wear and is in Very Good condition overall.
