Description

Original photo of Washington Senators pitcher George Dumont used in the production of Dumont's 1917-1920 M101-6 Felix Mendelsohn card. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type 1 photograph by PSA/DNA. Dumont is captured on the sidelines in a follow-through pose. Photos used in the production of trading cards have become increasingly popular in recent years. This is one of only a small number of vintage photos we have seen featuring a player image used in the M101-6 Felix Mendelsohn series and the first we have ever offered. The reverse bears several editorial notations and a "The Sporting News" credit stamp. The photo, trimmed to its current dimensions of 4-5/8 x 6-5/8 inches, is in Very Good to Excellent condition overall.
