Kirby Puckett Louisville Slugger signature-model "C243" bat dating from his 1991 World Championship season with the Minnesota Twins. Graded GU 9.5 by PSA/DNA. The cupped-end bat, which features a repaired handle crack, displays evidence of outstanding use along its entire length, including numerous ball marks (with blue-ink transfers), ball stitch impressions, and cleat markets. PSA/DNA notes "The handle has been taped approximately 7.75 [inches] to enhance the grip and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the upper handle." "Win" is written on the knob and Puckett's number "34" is written on the barrel in black marker. Puckett had a tremendous 1991 campaign. Named an All-Star during the regular season, he was even better in the postseason, batting .333 with four home runs and 10 RBI. His stellar play not only earned him ALCS MVP honors, but helped lead the Twins to their second World Championship in five seasons. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2001. Length: 35 inches. Weight: 32.3 ounces. Full LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
