Near-complete set consisting of twenty-eight different cards (out of 33 in a set) from the 1954 Red Heart baseball series, highlighted by an impressive twenty-five different signed examples. The signatures are scripted in a variety of inks. Missing only five cards for completion: Ashburn, Cox, Kluszewski, Mantle, and Martin. Condition is 25% Ex (including a couple Ex-Mt), 57% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 18% lesser. Keys: Erskine SP (Vg+), Kell (Vg), Kiner (Vg+), Lemon (Ex), McDougald SP (Vg-Ex+), Minoso (Vg+), Musial (Ex due mostly to centering), Schoendienst SP (Ex), Snider (Gd), and Spahn (Vg). Three unsigned cards: Bell (marks on reverse, otherwise Vg), Fox (Vg-Ex+), and Slaughter (Vg-Ex).
