Boston Red Sox home jersey worn by star outfielder Dwight Evans during the 1974 season. Graded A9 by MEARS. The white knit jersey is lettered "Red Sox" across the front and features the number "24" on the reverse. All letters and numerals are appliquéd in red on blue tackle twill. Located on the interior front tail are a "1974" year tag, a "McAuliffe" label, a "44" size tag, and a laundry tag. The jersey, which is completely original, is unaltered and displays heavy use. This shirt originated from the family member of a Boston Red Sox player. Evans played in 133 games with Boston in 1974, batting .281 with 10 home runs and 70 RBI in 463 at bats. Evans led the American League in home runs in 1981 and batted a career high .305 in 1987. He retired after the 1991 season with .272 lifetime average and 385 home runs. Graded A9 by MEARS (base grade of 10, with 1 point deducted for wear to the numerals). Full LOA from MEARS.
