Description

Original news photo of outfielder Sherry Magee. The image captures Magee in a fielding pose as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies in circa 1909. A "Pictorial News Co." credit stamp appears on the reverse, along with Magee's name and team affiliation written in pencil. A second credit stamp ("The Ring, Inc.") appears on the reverse as well. Although no year is listed on the photo, the uniform Magee is wearing (letter "P" on left sleeve) is the style worn by the Philadelphia Phillies only during the 1909 season. The photo (5 x 7 inches), which has strong image quality, displays light creases, a small tear on the top edge, and pinholes in each corner. In Good condition overall. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
