Offered here is a group of various personal items originating from the collection of Urban Shocker. This lot includes a lock of Shocker's hair, two booklets titled "Constitution and By-Laws of the Association of Professional Ball Players of America," three soiled baseballs (including a official American League Johnson ball), two copies of "U.S. Army Recruiting News" featuring Shocker dating from 1926, two mailing envelopes, and a large number of newspaper clippings from his playing days. The items are all in modest condition overall. This lot, along with several other items offered in this auction, originates directly from Urban Shocker's estate and is accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from his great-grandson.
