Description

Modestly graded example of Hall of Famer Red Grange (Card #1) from the 1926 Shotwell football set, the first series to feature a single player. This is an extremely significant card because, with good reason, it is recognized as Red Grange's earliest trade card. This example is bright and crisp, with a bold image, minor wear to the corners, and light toning front and back. The reverse is boldly printed. Graded POOR 1 by SGC due to heavy creasing and a few tiny edge tears. This is a desirable example of the legendary Red Grange from this popular 1920s football-card issue.
