Outstanding original photograph capturing four members of the circa 1935 New York Cubans team, highlighted by Hall of Famer Martin Dihigo. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. Standing tall second from the right, Dihigo played every position and is considered by many to be the best all-around player to ever take the field. He is one of baseball's greatest legends and has the distinction of being a member of three Baseball Halls of Fame (U.S., Cuba, and Mexico). This is just the second example of this photograph we've offered in the past 21 years. The photo has notations on the reverse identifying all of the men pictured, including manager Martin Dihigo, Cando Lopez, Alejando Oms, and Lazaro Salazar. Measuring 6 x 4 inches, the photograph bears a "Photo By Weems" credit stamp along the base. In addition to the player identification on the reverse, there are notations written in Spanish as well. The photo has moderate-to-heavy creasing. ln Fair condition overall. Technically in modest grade due to a number of condition flaws that do not detract from the integrity of the photo or its remarkable significance.
