Fold-over scorecard issued for an American Association game between the Brooklyn Grays and St. Louis Browns in Brooklyn. The cover features a colorful illustration of a generic ballplayer, with the caption below reading "Five Balls And Two Strikes." The preprinted lineups include Pinkney, McClellan, Terry, Phillips, and Harkins for Brooklyn, and Comiskey, Bushong, Gleason, Latham, Robinson, Caruthers, and Welch for St. Louis. Neatly scored in pencil to record a 9-5 St. Louis win. The date of the game ("June 2/87") is written in pencil on the interior (research confirms the date). St. Louis captured the American Association pennant in 1887, but lost the World Series to the National League Champion Detroit Wolverines. The scorecard (8-5/8 x 7-1/8 inches; unfolded) displays a reattached upper left corner, moderate creasing, a couple small edge tears, and evidence of album removal on the reverse. In Poor condition.
