This fold-over scorecard, issued for an 1883 National League game between the Boston Beaneaters and Chicago White Stockings at the South End Grounds in Boston, features a colorful image of two generic ballplayers in uniform on the cover, below which is the printed caption "Steal Up." The back cover features an advertisement for Wright & Ditson Sporting Goods. The preprinted lineups include Hornung, Wise, Sutton, Hines, and Morrill for Boston, and Kelly, Anson, Gore, Flint, and Goldsmith for Chicago. Neatly scored in pencil to record a 4-1 Boston win. Research indicates that this game took place on June 14, and was the first game of a three game series between the clubs. The program (7-3/8 x x 6 inches; unfolded) remains in Very Good to Excellent condition.
