Original photo of shortstop Dick Bartell taken by noted baseball photographer Charles Conlon and used in the production of Bartell's 1933 R319 Goudey card #28. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type 1 Charles Conlon photograph by PSA/DNA. The familiar image captures Bartell staring pensively into the camera as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies. Conlon's handwritten notations appear on the reverse. Photos used in the production of trading cards have become increasingly popular in recent years. This is one of only a small number of vintage photos we have seen featuring a player image used in the R319 Goudey set. The photo, which has been trimmed to its current dimensions of 7-5/8 x 8-1/2 inches, is otherwise in Very Good to Excellent condition overall.
