Government postcard/ticket dating from a game between the Oorang Indians and Columbus Panhandles on November 30, 1922, at Neil Park in Columbus, Ohio. The Indians, coached by the legendary Jim Thorpe, defeated the Panhandles 18-6. While this was technically a home game for the Indians, the team had no home field and played all away games. Tickets were given to players to send or give away to help boost attendance. According to our consignor, the offered ticket was handled by Hall of Famer Joe Guyon, who played for the Indians during the 1922 season. The reverse of the postcard is addressed and postmarked. Measuring 3.25 x 5.5 inches and in Fair condition overall.
