Original photograph of New York Yankees Hall of Fame outfielder Joe DiMaggio, circa 1930s. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. DiMaggio is pictured in extreme closeup as he stares directly into the camera. An "Apex Photograph Company" credit stamp appears on the reverse, along with the original paper news caption and several editorial notations. It is interesting to note that this particular image on the offered photo was used in the production of DiMaggio's 1936 Sporting News Sport Stampandhis1937 Exhibits 4-On-1 card. Photos used in the production of trading cards have become increasingly popular in recent years. The photo (5 x 7 inches) displays light creases and pinholes in both the upper left and right corners. In Good condition overall.
