Description

Original news photo of Hall of Fame outfielder Joe DiMaggio as a member of the New York Yankees in 1937. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photo by PSA/DNA. This close-up shot of DiMaggio captures him on the sideline at Yankee Stadium in a swing-through pose. The reverse displays a "Pix Publishing Inc." credit stamp, a "Nov 29 1939" date stamp, and DiMaggio's handwritten name. The photo, which has been trimmed to its current dimensions of 8 x 9-5/8 inches, displays several condition issues, including scattered creasing, multiple edge tears, and several tape stains/remnants on the reverse. Poor condition overall.
