Description

Original news photo of St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame first baseman Jim Bottomley used in the production of Bottomley's 1933 R300 George C. Miller card. The photo captures the legend in a portrait pose staring into the camera. An "International Newsreel Photo" credit stamp appears on the reverse, along with remnants of the paper news caption. Photos used in the production of trading cards have become increasingly popular in recent years. This is one of only a small number of vintage photos we have seen featuring an image used in the 1933 R300 George C. Miller set. The photo (5 x 7 inches) displays a few light creases. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
