Description

Program issued for a reception and dinner honoring New Yankees Hall of Fame second baseman Tony Lazzeri on June 21, 1927, at the Elks Hotel in Boston. Among the many speakers and guests noted in the interior pages are fellow Hall of Famers Babe Ruth and Miller Huggins. The program (5-5/8 x 7-3/8 inches) features a vertical fold that goes all the way through. There is a light stain on the front cover and stray pencil marks on the back cover. Fair condition overall. This program, along with several other items offered in this auction, originates directly from Urban Shocker's estate and is accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from his great-grandson.
