Montreal Expos team jacket dating from the 1970s. The blue satin jacket features the Expos team logo on the left breast, below which is "Expos" in white tackle twill. Located on the interior button panel is a "KM Pro Co." label and a "48" size tag. The jacket, which is original as issued, displays heavy wear, but remains in fine overall condition. The Montreal Expos entered the National League as an expansion team in 1969 and were the first Major League franchise to be located outside of the United States. The team remained in Montreal until 2004, when it relocated to Washington D.C., changing its name to the Washington Nationals. This is an extremely early Expos garment dating from the first decade in franchise history. Full LOA from MEARS (MEARS does not grade jackets).
