Description

Original Gillette "World Series Special" die-cut display issued in the 1940s when the company was the sole sponsor for World Series radio broadcasts. The colorful store display showcases a pair of Gillette Razors built around an intriguing offer: a Super-Speed Razor Set for just $1.00. An image of a generic ballplayer appears in the lower left. The display (31.5 x 42.5 inches) exhibits wear commensurate with its age and former use, including edge wear and a few small spots of paper loss. The original easel is missing. Good condition overall. As the dominant sponsor of the World Series for multiple decades, this display endures as a scarce relic from one of MLB's most prominent corporate partnerships. The size/weight of this item requires that there will be an additional shipping charge for this lot.
