Description

Baseball pass issued in 1925 on the occasion of the National League's "Golden Jubilee" 50th anniversary. The gold medallion designed in the shape of a baseball reads "1876-1925 National League Golden Jubilee" in blue. The name of the manufacturer, "Lambert Bros/Makers/New York," is engraved on the reverse. (Please note these passes were originally issued in a leather wallet, which no longer accompanies this example.) The National League's 50th anniversary was celebrated with great fanfare. This pass was designed to be saved as a special keepsake for recipients, though distribution must have been very modest: We have offered only four examples in the past 21 years. The gold medallion has light handling wear. In Excellent condition overall. Diameter: 1-3/8 inches.
