Between the years 1914 and 1937, The New York Times published a Mid-Week Pictorial every Wednesday that was, as the title suggested, filled mainly with photographs. Naturally, New York's biggest sports star, Babe Ruth, was featured often in the publication's pages over the years, as well as on the cover. This impressive collection has seven different Mid-Week Pictorial full magazines/covers featuring Ruth spanning the years 1921 to 1931. Three of the pieces in this lot are framed (due to being framed, we are unable to confirm whether the items are full magazines or just covers). This collection consists of the following: 1) Ruth Portrait 4/14/21 (framed). 2) Ruth Swinging, 9/22/21 (full magazine). 3) Ruth/Williams, 5/25/22 (framed). 4) Ruth Swinging, 8/30/23 (full magazine). 5) Ruth Posing, 4/22/26 (cover only). 6) Ruth Swinging, 6/29/29 (cover only) 7) Ruth/Gehrig, 3/14/31 (framed). Each item measures roughly 11 x 16 (with a few slightly smaller) and ranges from Poor to Good condition. Total dimensions of framed items: 13.5 x 17.25 inches. Total: 7 magazines. The size/weight of this item requires an additional shipping charge for this lot.
