Lot # 2377: Circa 1927-1928 Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig Barnstorming Original Brown Brothers Photograph PSA/DNA Type I

Exceptional original photograph depicting New York Yankees legends Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig during their legendary Bustin' Babes and Larrupin' Lou's barnstorming tour of 1927 and 1928. Encapsulated and certified as an original Type I photograph by PSA/DNA. According to our research, the sluggers, dressed in their respective tour uniforms, are posing during a trophy presentation with the boy baseball champions of New York just a few weeks after capturing their second consecutive World Championship in 1928. A "Brown Brothers" credit stamp appears on the reverse along with an editorial notation that reads "Ruth + Gehrig Barnstorming." The photo (6.5 x 8.5 inches) exhibits moderate corner wear, and the faint pencil notation "4-1/2" in the sky. Very Good condition overall.
