Lot # 2390: Circa 1930 Babe Ruth Underwear Display Box

Among Babe Ruth's more unusual endorsements was a brand of underwear that bore his name. The colorful box in which the underwear was sold features Ruth's portrait and has always been extremely popular with baseball and general advertising collectors alike. The box displays light toning and a partially erased pencil writing along the lid. A store label ("Famous-Barr Co.") appears on the right panel and the underside of the box. Very Good condition overall. This is a very appealing example of this classic Ruth collectible. Box dimensions: 9.75 x 9.75 x 2 inches.
