Rare panoramic photograph capturing a game-in-progress scene taken in Oilton, Oklahoma, on October 6th, 1918. This postseason exhibition game was between Oilton and Cleveland. The highlight of the game was the fact that Washington Senators future Hall of Famer Walter Johnson pitched for the local Oilton team, while fellow Major Leaguer Walt Kinney of the Boston Red Sox pitched for Cleveland. The text along the base reads "Oilton, Okla./Oct. 6th - 18./Oilton 1....Cleveland 0/10 innings - Walter Johnson of Washington Pitched Oilton/ Walter Kenney of Boston Pitched Cleveland." This is the first example of this panoramic image we have ever offered! The photo (13 x 4.5 inches), which is actually two separate smaller photos joined together in the center, is linen-backed and displays a crystal-clear image and moderate creases. Despite being linen-backed, the photo is in Fair condition overall.
