Collection of 34 vintage news photos dating from the 1910s to the 1940s, each capturing one or more members of the Philadelphia Athletics. Sizes range from 3 x 7 inches to 8 x 10 inches, with 12 of the photos having been noticeably trimmed. The vast majority display news service credit stamps on the reverse. One of the photos (McInnis) displays a Charles Conlon credit stamp on the reverse. All the photos display flaws common to news photos, including (but not limited to) edge tears, pinholes, creases, and editorial markings/shadings on the front and/or reverse. Condition ranges from Poor to Good, averaging Fair overall (with a few better). The players represented in this collection, with the number of photos for each player (if more than one) noted in parentheses, are as follows: Baker and C. Walsh, Baker with McInnis/Murphy/Baker, 1910 Athletics team image ("Burke & Koretke" credit stamps appear on front and back), 1914 Athletics team image, and two 1931 World Series publicity photos (one with Foxx and Grimes, while the second pictures Bishop and Hafey).
